our own Cezar is one of the leading “new kids on the block”. his cutting edge sets are both seminal and energetic, the boundry between new and old, minimal techo or house is determined only by the vibe he finds “out there”.

playing alongside big names like Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano or the whole Arpiar gang didn’t keep Cezar tied to the decks. he also found the time and energy needed to sharpen his production skills. Cezar even got involved in a live project with percussionist Lucian Maxim and vibrafone player Alexandru Anastasiu.

together with Raresh, Praslea and Kozo, Cezar founded Afumati a production collective in which they work randomly and alltogether. his first solo EP (Din Gand in Cand) has just seen the light on the new Understand label. which he also started with Kozo and Praslea.

Cristi Cons’s affair with music is deeper than you might think. he studied cello for more than 15 years and he’s also a graduate of the National Music Academy. he started djing about 5 years ago and since he has developed a very deep and special sound. his mixing skills pushed him in the booth along today’s top dj’s, and he didn’t fail once.

electronic music production has been his number one interest in the last years whether he was doing it alone or with Vlad Caia under the SIT monicker. last we checked he was deeply involved in Petre Inspirescu’s PI project as well as prepairing the first release of his Amphia label.

one of Romania’s new talents, Dan Andrei is a extraordinary producer and also a dj to watch. his releases can be found on imprints like Arpiar, Be Chosen or Kurbits, just to name a few. you haven’t been to a club if you didn’t hear at least once one of his productions. or maybe you went to the wrong clubs, it’s the same.

various gigs around Europe keep him busy, as well as playing Playstation among other things. he is headlining the Sunwaves festival, he has a more than afew gigs in Ibiza this summer and he’s also working on some hot new collabs. we’ll be the first to know, so stay tuned.

young and uprising, totally passioned about the tech side of electronic music, Kozo isn’t afraid to touch both house and techno genre to complete his musical journey.

his groovy and uplifting sets are rumoured to be inspired by the likes of Jules Verne, Terry Gilliam and Dalai Lama. Cartoon Network is still a sensitive subject. he strongly belives that one day Chuck Norris will find him.

these days Kozo is focusing all his strenght in production and the growth of his new Understand label, founded with friends Cezar and Praslea. his first track (under the Kozonak alias) can be found on Arpiar’s 05 release, his first EP will be ready soon enough.

NoiDoi are Nicu & Robert a couple of producers that really produce a lot. they have gathered 8 releases in only 2 years on labels such as Material Series, Baracca or Oslo. their unique percussive sound has gathered support from artistis like Rhadoo, Ricardo Villalobos, Federico Molinari or Raresh.

the two not only mix, but they have a live act to follow also. their Analog Set takes their productions gently from minimal to housier sonds, all in the good NoiDoi manner. a duo to follow !

also known as Pedro, Petre Inspirescu is one of the most visionary artists electonic music has to offer. his special mixture of house, minimal and classic gives birth to rollercoaster story driven sets easily recognisible and unforgetable on the other hand.

apart from beeing part of the famous Arpiar group he also owns and runs the Yojik Con Con label, a platform created especially for the π Ensemble project. and for the future.

surprisingly young, Praslea is already a big name on the Romanian scene, and one of the newcomers rocking the crowds worldwide. his clockwork precision and smooth selection helped him gain attention time after time while warming up for big names like Zip, Luciano, Ritchie Hawtin, Valentino Kanzyani or Cassy to name just a few. and that’s not all. guest appearances around Europe (Slovenia, Italy, Belgium, UK or Ibiza) followed shortly, as well as a collaboration with the famous Circo Loco brand.

between gigs across the country or abroad Praslea finds enough time to work on the Afumati project, started around him and Cezar. also, his first productions alongside Raresh will see the daylight on his new Understand label under the name of Praslesh.

just a simple anagram ? we really don’t think so ! after many years of playing together in the club and in the studio, Praslea and Raresh decided to unveil their own Praslesh project. the Understand 002 is the first of many releases to come. and gigs also. if you enjoy their productions you should know their back 2 back is already a classic. but just like a diamond that needs a little polish, they started this new adventure when the time was right. and we were there. always been, always will.

with amazing dj skills, sleek remixes and subtle productions it’s hard to say what Rhadoo does best. he’s not only responsible for our growing and growing appeal for house music but for the creation of groups/labels like [a:rpia:r] also.

wether alone or with the crew, Rhadoo has circled around the world the last few years, spinning for thousands of clubbers or tens of hours. which seems to be a personal habit.

tieing his name to a certain genre just won’t do because our own Rhadoo is a well known shapeshifter. combining old with new, techno with house and everything with everything, he’s simply making you wonder what he will do next.

the explosive formula of Raresh, Rhadoo and Petre Inspirescu playing back 2 back, a formula which can solve the puzzle of any clubnight. they started 4 years ago and never looked back since.

you can’t say for sure what drives you the most when listening to an [a:rpia:r] set: Raresh’s energy, Rhadoo’s strategy or Petre Inspirescu’s poetry but you will most definitely recognize and remember this unique sound.

the three have also founded their own label which features productions from romania’s most interesting artists as well as worldwide renowned figures like Dj Sneak or Thomas Melchior.
